SNS was founded by Sergio Rodriguez in April of 2005.
Hi, I'm Sergio, and I founded SNS in April of 2005. At the time, my full time job was performing construction materials testing for private testing labs. I was then 25 years old, and was the lead technician on a large project (IKEA, Houston).
My employer at the time sent additional technicians to train and assist with all the daily testing needs for our client. One of the guys who started working the IKEA project with me became a very good friend. This friend was impressed that I was so young and had so much responsibility. (At this time I had a family of my own, with my wife and 4 children in my home; my family has since grown even more.) My new friend said to me that I should look for greater things. He said that I should start my own business, and that I had all the tools necessary to be successful.
So, I was basically encouraged to start my business by my new found friend. I started out doing construction work because this is what my trade was and still is. Little did I know, working for private labs would be the beginning of my future in being a contractor and owning my own business.
When I first began my business, I started with concrete jobs: sidewalks, driveways, etc. Then, I began to learn about remodeling houses. At the time, all my experience was with commericial and industrial construction. I had to start smaller, so I focused on learning residential construction. Since then, I have completed a multiple of jobs: fence repair (post-Ike), remodeling homes, new constructions (ground-up), and extensive remodeling (gutting homes, and complete remodeling), and more.
In the short time I have been in business, my company has done a lot of work with many happy clients. My clients consist of home owners, investors, property managers, mortgage companies, and realtors

"Sergio Rodriguez and his crew(s) built a roughly 700 square foot addition on the back side of my 3-car garage, effectively doubling the size of the garage. The new addition was designed as a separately accessible work area, my play room for retirement, and was to be insulated and air-conditioned.
Beginning with excavation for the new slab and ending with installation of the Hardy Plank siding, this hard working group did an amazing piece of work, meeting all of my needs and expectations. What few hiccups that took place were corrected immediately, and what job of this magnitude is going to progress without some small number of hiccups? A true test of a good contractor is how readily and agreeably he deals with issues that crop up during the job, and this job went well from that standpoint.
While the job could have been stick built, Sergio went out of his way to hire an architect and have drawings put together for the job. This likely resulted in a far better addition, one with greater longevity and less impact on the existing aged garage structure. The existing garage was built in 1965 and in fact it was never intended to carry any additional load, meaning the new addition needed to be completely self-supporting. This made the design tricky as the rooflines, for watershed and drainage reasons, intersected well up and onto the old garage structure.
